Wren Blair was the very first head coach AND general manager. He had a very high attitude, the players took some time to get used to him. One of the very first games they ever had played was against Montreal in Minnesota, they were under siege right from the beginning. Montreal dominated the Stars. During another game against Detroit we had a tough time. One power play when we couldn't get it out of our zone, but then Blair stood one leg on the bench and the other on the dashboard yelling, "Boo the players. Boo, Boo the players." To the crowd of people watching the game.
